What is an At-Risk Student?

ree

An "at-risk" student is a term used to describe a student who is at risk of not succeeding academically or socially. These students may face a variety of challenges, such as poverty, homelessness, language barriers, learning disabilities, mental health issues, or family problems. They may also struggle with attendance, behavior, or engagement in school. Identifying at-risk students is important because it allows educators and school officials to provide additional support and resources to help these students succeed. This may include academic intervention programs, counseling services, mentoring, or other forms of support. The goal is to help these students overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.
